01

Successful on Paper, Stuck on the Inside

Why so many capable people feel a quiet gap between how life looks and how it feels, and why insight alone rarely closes it. Drawing on his book STUCK and his own story, David explores how the patterns we learned to keep ourselves safe can shape adult life, and shares a simple everyday practice for responding differently: Observe, Interrupt, Reset, Realign. For conferences, leadership events and TEDx-style audiences.

02

Human Under Pressure

Pressure changes how capable people think, decide and relate. This talk explores six patterns that commonly show up under pressure (Control, Drive, Compliance, Threat, Shutdown and Friction) and gives teams a practical way to notice them in the moment and choose a better response. For leadership teams, wellbeing programmes and company events.

03

The Mountain Is the Lesson

What climbing Kilimanjaro taught David about fear, pace and asking for help. Starting before you feel ready. "Pole pole": slowly, slowly. Moving forward while still afraid. And the porter who carried far more than his bag. Available as a keynote or as a half-day workshop in which participants map their own climb.
